Short, calm reading about recovery, feeding, newborn care and the parts of postpartum nobody warns you about. Written to be read at 3 a.m., with one hand, without making you feel behind.
Hi! I'm Bruna Gomes, a postpartum doula, educator, placenta specialist, mother of three, wife, and Brazilian-American living between two cultures in Massachusetts.
I've experienced postpartum three times, and each season taught me something different about motherhood, recovery, and the kind of support we need along the way. During my third postpartum, I found myself searching for support and answers in the middle of the night. I wanted information that felt calm, honest, and grounded in real life, not advice that made me feel like I was falling behind.
The Cora Journal started there.
These notes come from what I've learned through all of my postpartum seasons, from motherhood, and from supporting real families through pregnancy and postpartum.
No perfect postpartum here. Just honest information, practical support, and reminders of what you don't have to carry alone.
