We create the support that fits your family's needs.
If we are a good fit, we will talk about timing, services, location, and the best next step for the season you are in.
Every family is different. Cora meets you where you are, instead of forcing one method, one routine, or one version of motherhood.
Guidance without judgment.
Whether your choices include breastfeeding, formula, a mix of both, more rest, more help, or a different rhythm than you expected, we will support your decisions and provide guidance where needed.
Care for the new mother (whether this is your first or third baby).
The baby matters deeply, and so does the person recovering, learning, feeding, healing, and holding so much. Cora's care centers the mother and supports the family around her.
Professional, gentle, and honest.
This is not about pretending postpartum is always easy. It is about giving you support, resources, and calm guidance so you do not have to move through it alone.
Meet the heart behind Cora.
Cora Perinatal Care grew from my own experiences with motherhood, my work supporting new mothers, and a deep belief that families deserve to feel cared for during one of life's biggest transitions.
My name is Bruna Gomes. I am mother of three, a wife, a dog mom, and nature lover. I am passionate about helping families feel more prepared, informed, and supported as they enter parenthood. My own pregnancies, births, and postpartum experiences have taught me that every season is different. After a difficult postpartum experience following the birth of my third child, I sought out the support and resources I needed to find my way through it. That experience changed the way I saw postpartum care and deepened my desire to make sure other mothers don't feel like they have to navigate it alone.
As a certified postpartum doula, a certified placenta specialist and an educator, my work focuses on helping families prepare for postpartum before they are in it, while also providing practical, compassionate support once they arrive there. I believe you don't need more pressure to have the perfect postpartum experience. My approach is simple: I want families to feel more prepared, more informed, and more supported. I want to be the calm person in the room who can offer practical help, answer questions without judgment, encourage rest, and remind you that needing care does not mean you are failing.
My work is also deeply connected to my Brazilian roots and my experiences living between two cultures. Cora comes from Coração, the Portuguese word for heart, and my logo's hibiscus flower is inspired by one of the flowers I love seeing when I'm in Brazil. Both are meaningful reminders of where I come from and the heart I bring into this work. I bring the warmth and leveza, or lightness, that I associate with my Brazilian culture together with the boundaries and intentional holding of space that have shaped my experiences in the United States. Together, these influences have shaped the way I care for families: with warmth, honesty, respect, and intention.
You can have family around and still need professional support. Loved ones often want to help, but they may not always have an unbiased perspective on how to support newborn care, feeding questions, recovery, rest, routines, or the emotional parts of postpartum. Cora's role is to bring calm, unbiased and practical guidance and help your support system work better for you.
Needing support does not mean you are not capable. It means you are moving through a major life transition and deserve care while you do it. Many mothers feel guilty receiving help, even when they deeply need it. Part of this work is helping you rest, receive support, and lean into your intuition.
No. Cora offers guidance, education, resources, and practical support, but your family's values and choices matter. The goal is not to impose one way of feeding, resting, parenting, or recovering. The goal is to help you feel informed and supported in the decisions that are right for you.
In person support is available in the Boston area, Northern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire, depending on location and availability. For families outside the in-person service area, virtual support may be a good fit.
Yes! Cora offers birth preparation, newborn care, lactation, and postpartum preparation. These sessions help you feel more prepared before baby arrives and give you a clearer sense of what support, recovery, feeding, and newborn life can look like.
Absolutely! At Cora, we provide support to families whether they are expecting their first baby, or have older children. Our belief is that every new mother and parent deserve to be cared for and supported, no matter how many times you have gone through it.
Start with the form. After you share a little about your needs, we can schedule a complimentary 15 to 30 minute call. During that conversation, we talk through where you are in your journey, what feels hard or unclear, and what kind of support would make the most sense for your family.
"Client love coming soon.."
Cora is currently gathering client stories and reflections. This space will be used to share real experiences from families who felt supported, more rested, more confident, and less alone during pregnancy, postpartum, and newborn life.
